Since its inception in 1992, with guidance and support from the United Nations, NIST has gained a reputation as one of the leading IB schools in the world. Its students consistently earn high scores in the IB Diploma and move on to higher education in North America, Europe, and Australasia. Accredited by both the CIS and NEASC, NIST was the first school in Thailand to achieve dual accreditation.
Currently NIST teaches Thai, Japanese, Mandarin, Hindi, German, French, Dutch, Swedish, Korean, Danish, and English as Mother Tongue Languages, as well as offering French, Mandarin, Spanish, and Thai as second languages. In addition to its world language programme, NIST has extensive extra-curricular activities from sports to clubs to instrumental music lessons. Gymnastics, tennis, golf, football (soccer), basketball, volleyball, swimming are some of the sports offered.
